Barack O’Cheney?

According to the second lady, our current Vice President is distantly related to someone he probably wishes would simply go away: Barack Obama.
Yep, says Lynne Cheney, Mr. Dick and B’rack are kin. Apparently they are related though a common ancestor, a 17th century French immigrant named Mareen Devall, whom Mrs. Cheney discovered during research for her new book, “Blue Skies, No Fences”.
Eighth cousins isn’t all that close but still, this is strange…
On the other hand, if we go back far enough, aren’t we all related?

Wow, that’s sort of like finding out that Bugs and Elmer are related – it just doesn’t seem right.

As far as Blogger goes, – duh – I never even thought about the “other” option… Hope you’re having a good trip.
Linda – Several people beat us both too it… Don’t worry about switching… mostly a joke. I know it works for you and you’re comfortable with it so hopefully Blogger will work for me today.
Pastor David – It is weird but 8th cousins is fairly distantly related. We’d probably be amazed at who all is related at that level. Switching isn’t a lot of work but it can be frustrating. If you at all interested, it;s worth it.

I’m back again…we’re in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains up in South Carolina. I sure like the weather here better than in Florida. Plus, there are REAL trees here! And they have color to them!
