Quiet Riot Singer Found Dead
2007 November 27
Kevin DuBrow, lead singer for hard rock band Quiet Riot, was found dead in his home late Sunday. The cause of death was not immediately apparent but foul play does not seem to be involved.

Quiet Riot had two major hits in the eighties, ‘Cum on Feel the Noise’ :
… and ‘Mama Weer All Crazy Now’, both covers of Slade originals. The mid-eighties lineup of the band, pictured above, shows DuBrow second from the left.
Quiet Riot was formed in the seventies by guitarist Randy Rhoads who would later quit the band to join Ozzy Osbourne’s group. Rhoads died in a 1982 plane crash.
Prayers go out for family, friends and fans…

art….people are dropping like flies. This is sad…I was never a Quiet Riot fan, but I do remember those songs…in my old age!
i’m sending out my prayers!
i feel sorry for the guy in the video, his room got trashed!
Sad. And I just learned Sean Taylor (who used to play football for the Univ. of Miami and was now with the Wash. Redskins) died this morning. So many celebrities dying.
BTW, I can’t reminisce about high school without remembering Quiet Riot. What a powerful sound!
In another time, in another life I met Kevin Dubrow. It was after a concert in Memphis and we followed them to the hotel they were staying. I don’t want to speak bad of the dead so I won’t tell you the impression he gave me (first impressions are not always the right ones anyway and he was drunk). But I will say that Rudy (the bass player) and Frankie (the drummer) were quite nice guys. I got both of their autographs.
My prayers go out to them all. I pray that somewhere down the line Kevin found Christ. I pray that God will somehow work some good out of this tragic loss as is the promise found in Romans 8:28 comes true.
I just LOVED that song “Cum On Feel the Noise.”
Sad story…
wow.. crazy times
I heard this too
And wow, i had forgetten the big 80s hair.
Its sad when someone dies before his time. I pray for his family as they mourn.
Beth – No your not because I remember them too.
Jay – I think that was a depiction of fictional events. Any resemblance to real life events was purely coincidental
Scarlet – I read about Taylor too and QR brings back those same memories for me.
Greg – I share your prayer. I knew a guy who met Rudy Sarzo years ago and said he was a really nice guy. Sarzo has played in a lot of well known bands and has always had a fan-friendly reputation.
Susan – Yeah, me too. That was one of, if not the, first metal songs to make it into the top 5 or so on the pop charts.
Gavin – Yeah, but you’re too young to really remember Quite Riot, I bet…
Linda – I heard they had the hairspray delivered in tanker trucks
Deepak – How’s it going?
Nadine – Yep. I guess his lifestyle caught up with him, but that’s way too young to go.
i remember hearing this song just once, on one of those ‘party shuffle’ radio stations that are popping up all over the US. i was intrigued because it was the inspiration for the title of Sufjan’s ‘Come on Feel the Illinoise’. i didn’t know that that itself was a cover song.
i think that both Kevin and Randy Died legends. I was not around to actually mourn for the death of Randy but it had to be such a sad day. The music he made was the best. we wanted to be known as a guitar hero and in my heart he is!!
Awesome song
