Friday Five – Cadillac Songs

A couple of weeks ago, I listed 5 songs about cars and invited you to list even more (and the response was great). But in that post, I didn’t list any Cadillac songs simply because there are so very many of them.
I have several in my own MP3 collection and there are well over 100 on the iTunes Music Store. Some of those are different versions of the same song but, still, that’s a lot of songs with “Cadillac” in the title. Enough, in fact to write a blog post about. So today I will list 5 Cadillac songs:

I like Long white Cadillac by Dwight Yoakam. He is an old guilty pleasure of mine. I tuned hubby in to him and now he likes country music. If I had known that was going to happen. I would have kept Dwight to myself. Have a great day! Jennifer
Johnny Cash’s “One Piece at a Time” ended up being about a Cadillac. An then there was “Freeway of Love”…Pink Cadillac by Aretha Franklin….

It reminds me of the old days when a Cadillac was a Cadillac and the rest were just cars.
Cadilac Ranch, by Chris LaDoux, not one of my favorites, but sure it will be stuck in my head now.
LOL now Chris LeDoux is in my head. I have to say though, I love Quiet Riot! Garth Brooks has Cowboy Cadillac.
How about Joe Cocker—’Sandpaper Cadillac.” Also, I always think of the song by Billy Joel called ‘Movin’ Out” when he sings, “he traded in his Chevy for a Cadillac-ack-ack-ack-ack-ack…”

I can’t believe no one thought of “Guitars, Cadillacs” by Dwight Yoakam or “Cadillac Jack Favor” by Clint Black…
There was a car like this one called Imphala ,it used to consume lot of petrol,now it is out of production here.
You can’t forget “Dead Man’s Cadillac” a great song by a great band called “Who Are Those Guys” listen at whoarethoseguys.com
