Wow that’s a mix! I think that come November we will all be so tired of this election, we’ll just be glad to have it over with! Or maybe that’s just me.

I knew Hendrix. Bowie and Lola ( I think - different from LO LO LO LO-LA and C - O- L- A cola?) BTW Lola is the name of the voice on our navigational system and Hubby has the hots for her.
I answered you on my blog.

I am so glad you aren’t talking about Hillary. Being across the bridge from PA I have been hearing more than I care to admit. Man, if I hear that grating voice one more time I am calling her up to tell her to shut the hell up!

I too, am glad this is not a political post. I do like the music you have on your Ipod.

Nice mix. Although I admit I don’t know the Reverend or Chris Thomas King. perhaps in a future post you can expound upon them!

Rev. Horton Heat is sort of the godfather of psychobilly music. They did the theme song for Johnny Bravo. And Chris Thomas King is a blues singer who played the Robert Johnson-ish figure in O Brother Where Art Thou.

Just wandering…is Shuffleation a real word or one of those you just made up?
April 23, 2008 at 6:02 pm
hey, i know the chris thomas king song and ‘hey joe’. that’s about it, though.
since you won’t write about the Man (cuz Hillary is so the Man - ie., Institution), i think i will.
i was gonna anyway.
i need to vent.
sorry.

By the way, Chris Thomas King was also in the film Ray. He played Lowell Fulson, a blues guitarist and songwriter in the West Coast Blues tradition from Oklahoma. He formed his own band in the 1940’s which included a young Ray Charles. See, you’re not the only one full of useless information.

One day you are going to surprise me and mention a song I actually heard of.
I’m starting to fell that I know nothing about music.

Eclectic, are we? Funny, I just heard David Bowie’s Blue Jean and Changes the other day and I hadn’t heard his music in years. I had forgotten about his “China Girl.” Good one!
The rest? I only know The Clash, The Rev, Hendrix and Robert Plant from Zeppelin. I’ll have to check out this duet!

Very diverse mix there, Art. I’m afraid I’d be fiddling with the volume button on some of those.
I’m still living in the dark ages…no iPod.

guess I should visit YOUR blog when I need to add tracks to my radioblog!
Hope you are doing well Art! I see you posted my post! That is such an honor! No one did that before!
Love to Stace & the children!
